Patricia Boyd was a member of a female vocal group called The Carolinas. The Carolinas were known in the Atlanta area for their performances at nursing homes, hospitals and “anywhere someone might need cheering up,” says Boyd. “I was okay singing with a group but not as a soloist,” she insists. “It was a most rewarding and fulfilling experience.”
