“I have spent my whole life in the Oak Park/ River Forest area of Illinois. I loved growing up here and raising my own family here. It’s great to show my children where I went to school, where their father and I were married, and where I worked as a private secretary to the president of Mars Company during World War II. I have to say that being a mother was my favorite occupation. My two children are the loves of my life. They are the ones, along with my grandchildren, that keep me young to this day.”
