City power has not been restored to our Hunters Creek community. Line crews are working on our street and their trucks have been in our parking lot. We have spoken with the crews and they have confirmed that what they are working on is relevant to our building. We hope to have power soon, but we don’t have an estimated time. We continue to run on our emergency generator without interruption and we remain fully staffed and supplied. We are adapting activities to keep everyone safe and as comfortable and engaged as possible. We will update with email and text when there is an operational change. We will continue to update this page and our Heartline 630-452-4761 will remain active until city power is restored.

Emergency generator power is restored at Belmont Village West U. The back-up generator arrived and was installed and functioning at 2 AM. The emergency generator at Belmont Village Hunters Creek continues to run without interruptions and is checked regularly to ensure there are no performance issues. We appreciate the support and understanding we have received from our families and residents. Our community teams, with support from corporate employees, worked together to meet the needs of our residents and help them safely navigate the building through the outage at West U. Some residents went home with families and a few transferred to our Hunters Creek community and will return to West U today. Families of the residents who relocated will be contacted directly to coordinate returns. We remain staffed and supplied at both communities and continue to do everything possible to keep residents and staff safe and comfortable. Our Heartline 630-452-4761 will remain active until city power is restored to help answer questions and concerns.

  • July 9, 2024 8:00 pm

Though we came through Beryl with no significant damage to our buildings, our Houston communities are unfortunately among the 2.2 million who lost power. We have been running on emergency generators since around 6:30 AM on Monday at both buildings. Today around noon, we had a generator outage at our West U community that shut down all power. We have secured a back-up generator and expect to have it installed within the next 12 hours. We reached out to the Mayor’s office and our communities are on their master list for priority power restoration. We have sufficient staff, food, water and clinical supplies to maintain operations for multiple days, if city power is delayed. Our primary goal is to keep our residents and staff safe and as comfortable as possible. West U families will receive a call and an email tonight with options for their loved ones while generator power is down. If you do not receive or if you have immediate questions about today’s outage and options, please call our Heartline 1-630-452-4761 to speak with a Belmont Village regional team member. Our Hunters Creek community continues to run on generator power with no interruptions.

  • July 8, 2024 11:54 am

We are happy to report that we have sustained no significant damage or flooding at either of our Houston communities from Hurricane Beryl. Residents and staff remain safe and comfortable. Belmont Village Hunters Creek and West University lost city power early this morning, but are operating on generator power, with no interruption in care or services. Team members came in last night prepared to stay with residents through the storm and we remain staffed and operational. We will update again once power is restored, or if there are any changes in operational status to report. For now, we ask that you limit calls as much as possible to allow our team to focus on our residents.

Our Houston communities are taking steps to prepare, and emergency plans are in place to keep our residents safe and their care ongoing during the storm. Our teams are trained in disaster preparedness and we will remain staffed with plenty of food, water, and clinical supplies stocked and available. Key areas in our community are supported by generator power and will remain operational in the event of a power outage. Our team is taking every step to ensure that our residents remain safe, comfortable and well-cared for during this weather event. To allow our teams to remain focused on their preparations and our residents, we kindly request a limitation on phone calls to the communities during this time.
