Partnership plans to produce leading edge seniors housing in South Florida
Baptist Health South Florida, the largest not-for-profit healthcare organization in the region, and Belmont Village Senior Living, a nationally recognized seniors housing provider, announced today that they created a venture to develop, own and operate senior living communities in South Florida. The venture is launching with the creation of a community close to the Shops at Merrick Park in downtown Coral Gables.

The area initially targeted by the partnership will include Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Monroe counties.

The Coral Gables project will be located at 250 Bird Road, bounded by Aurora Street, Altara Avenue and Salzedo Street. Construction is projected to start mid-2020 and to be complete within two years of commencement.
Belmont Village will manage development and operation of Belmont Village Coral Gables, which will offer Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care. This project, the company’s first with Baptist Health South Florida, will be Belmont Village’s second community in the region. Belmont Village Fort Lauderdale is currently under construction at 1031 Seminole Drive and projected to open Fall 2019.
