Residents at Belmont Village Green Hills are hosting an Artist Market benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association on Saturday, October 7 from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. The market will feature more than 100 art pieces created by the residents including jewelry, sculptures, framed art, stationary and canvas painting. Many of the residents who created the pieces are suffering from memory loss or Alzheimer’s themselves and have been working on the items for months. This is the second year Belmont Village is hosting the event.
Items are not priced, but rather donation based. Last year, they raised more than $600. They hope to raise even more this year. 100% of the proceeds benefits the Alzheimer’s Association Mid South Chapter to help with research and the work that they do for Nashville-area families. The event is open to the public. No RSVP required. For those who cannot attend the market but would like to contribute, they can visit Belmont Village Green Hill’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s Fundraising page at to make a tax-deductible donation online.
