Belmont Village Hollywood Hills is marking its celebratory milestone with a makeover, refreshing common areas and transforming two-thousand- square-feet of interior space into a new Bistro/Club area and Screening Room for assisted living residents. The renovation also includes an expanded Memory Care Neighborhood, allowing the community to provide a wider range of ability-specific support for residents who are experiencing cognitive loss.
The June 8 event featured Patricia Will, Belmont Village Founder and CEO, who presided over the welcome ceremony and ribbon cutting. California Senator Kevin de León, District 24, issued a proclamation on behalf of Belmont Village’s dedication to serving seniors and their families, while also creating local jobs. Celebrity impersonators and a visit by Miss North Hollywood Rachel McDonough greeted guests on the red carpet.
“Choosing a senior living community is one of the most important decisions a family will make. Finding one that is vibrant, supportive and safe tops the list,” said Patricia Murphy, Executive Director, Belmont Village Hollywood. “This expansion will give us great new areas for social activities, while allowing us to offer more options for our memory care residents, in terms of both programming and space.”
The newly renovated and expanded Memory Care Neighborhood offers 17 additional one-bedroom and studio apartments for those with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. Belmont Village memory programs are resident-centered and tailored to meet specific therapeutic goals. The expansion will allow the community to further refine daily programs to provide a “just right challenge” for each resident. Residents are supported by a well-trained team and nurse on site 24/7.
