Alzheimer’s is a devastating disease that slowly strips away precious memories, thinking skills and the ability to perform simple tasks. It affects more than 5 million Americans today, a number that is expected to jump to 16 million by 2050, unless we find a cure. As a senior living and memory care provider, we see the daily toll this disease takes on our residents, their families and caregivers. We’ve led the way in developing research-based enrichment programs so that our residents can have meaningful, purposeful days. Our staff is specially trained to support resident needs with understanding, respect and dignity and they are dedicated in their care. But that is not a cure.
Belmont Village is a Silver National Team for the Alzheimer’s Association 2017 Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Our goal is to raise $100,000 nationwide to help fight this devastating disease through research and support services.
