Belmont Village Senior Living’s Glenview, Illinois and Westwood, California communities have been recognized by U.S. News & World Report among the top 25 in their 2022-23 inaugural “Best in Senior Living” survey, where residents and family members rated their respective communities in the criteria of best in Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care. In the final rankings and after thorough consideration, Belmont Village’s Glenview and Westwood communities ranked in at positions four and five, respectively – a tremendous honor on both the national and local stage.
U.S. News and World Report’s ranking, ratings and data offering was launched to help consumers identify high-quality senior living and care options, surveying consumers’ experience in categories such as community, quality of activities, caregiving, food and dining, as well as community leadership and front-line staff. The initial survey included more than 3,000 communities and 80 operators, reflecting the viewpoints of over 200,000 seniors housing residents and family members nation-wide.
In addition to the Top 25 distinctions, most Belmont Village communities were also recognized by U.S. News & World Report in one or more categories as “Best in Senior Living”. In the Belmont Village Glenview survey, residents and their families gave the highest marks in the three categories of independent living, assisted living, and memory care, including excellent life-enrichment activities; friendliest, responsive management and staff; extreme safety; excellent quality caregiving; skilled and knowledgeable licensed nursing staff that respects resident and family wishes, and much more. Likewise, the Belmont Village Westwood survey results highlighted residents’ perception of the community, including excellent and responsive staff; prompt and skilled caregiving; high-quality food and variety of meals; variety of high-quality enrichment activities; “feels like home,” among many others.
