“I was born in Johnson City, Illinois where I lived on a farm with my family. I was the second youngest of five children. My parents emigrated from Italy and we didn’t have much so we had to work hard. But even though we didn’t have much, I had a very happy childhood. My greatest accomplishment in life is my marriage and my three wonderful children. Being a mother is the most gratifying job you could have.”
